Delivered by Fitzroy Yachts in 2006 and designed by renowned Dubois Naval Architects, the 39m luxury charter yacht Ganesha (ex Zulu II) has received the Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta’s Silver Jubilee Cup, along with prizes as Top Scored Boat over 31m in the Cruising Division, Top Scored Boat Owned by a YCCS Member, and Fitzroy’s trophy for Best Classified Fitzroy Yacht.
The overall winners of the 2012 Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta have become the 39m luxury charter yacht Ganesha in the Cruising Division and the 25.3m sailing yacht Highland Fling in the Performance Division.
Due to kick off tomorrow, the preparations for the Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta 2012 hosted by prestigious Yacht Club Costa Smeralda are well underway. The biggest vessel to compete in this popular race will be the 57.5m luxury sailing yacht Twizzle.
Luxurious vessels such as the 53.8m charter yacht Parsifal III or the 57.5m superyacht Twizzle and many others will meet once again to compete in this year’s Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta, running from June 4 to 6 and hosted by the prestigious Yacht Club Costa Smeralda, situated in a fabulous yacht charter location – Porto Cervo in Sardinia.
This year’s Newport Bucket Regatta, taking place from August 24-26 will boast four luxurious vessels, designed by respected UK-based studio Dubois Naval Architects. These include the 44.7m luxury yacht Lady B, the 42.9m superyacht Drumbeg, the 49.7m luxury yacht Zefira as well as the 44.8m Timoneer superyacht.
The 37.5m luxury sailing yacht FY17, currently in built by the prestigious NZ shipyard Fitzroy Yachts, is a magnificent fast cruising sloop, scheduled for delivery in early 2014. Designed by well known Dubois Naval Architects and featuring an interior by Design Unlimited, this beautiful vessel will provide 4 lovely and comfortable cabins.
Babcock International Group PLC has successfully bought the remaining 30 per cent minority shareholding of its joint venture partner, the NZ superyacht builder Fitzroy Yachts, creating Babcock (NZ) Ltd. The new firm, Babcock (NZ) Ltd has intentions to continue with its ongoing management contract of Devonport Dockyard in Auckland.

Alloy 48.5m charter yacht Georgia has become today the comfortable winner of the first race in 2012 Millennium Cup. This spectacular Alloy vessel was the first 2000 superyacht to be launched, and that time also the largest sloop in the world.
The 16th edition of Superyacht Cup Palma, held in June 20-23, 2012 will be host 15 entries currently confirmed, including the 53m sailing yacht Fidelis by Perini Navi, and the new Dubois designed 45m Salperton superyacht built by New Zealand yard Fitzroy Yachts.
