Designed by renowned Philip Rhodes, the beautiful wooden s-bottomed sailing yacht Alert will undergo an extensive refit at Claasen Shipyards. The yard will restore her to the as-new condition she was in when launched in 1948.
Taking place from June 19th to 22nd, the 2013 Superyacht Cup Palma will be attended by such beautiful J Class yachts as charter yacht Range, Velsheda, Rainbow, as well as Lionheart, in addition to megayacht Athos and Firefly.
Hall Spars fitted yachts have reported a great success on the race course this season. Two magnificent vessels boasting Hall Spars mast will be showcased at the next Monaco Yacht Show, comprising Wally 164 luxury yacht Better Place and Baltic 72 yacht Stig.
The overall winner of the Superyacht Cup Palma 2012 has become the 40m Royal Huisman charter yacht Maria Cattiva, followed by charter yachts Atalante and Highland Breeze, respectively.
Competing through a confused wind pattern, Day 2 of this year’s Superyacht Cup Palma brought the victory of the superyacht Firefly in Class 1, followed by charter yachts Atalante and Maria Cattiva, respectively, both belonging to Class 2.
This year’s Superyacht Cup Palma started with perfect weather conditions. Class 1 is currently led by the 34m charter yacht Highland Breeze, built by Nautor Swan and designed by Frers, while the current winner of Class 2 is the 30m luxury yacht Reesle, designed by Hoek.
The prominent Dutch superyacht builder, Claasen Shipyards, has recently joined the Holland Yacht Experience’s joint venture in order to futher develop its services on Port Pierre Canto in Cote d’Azur, France.
This year´s Superyacht Cup Palma has only a few last places available for superyachts wishing to take part in this famous race. The recent entries include such splendid vessels as the last year´s winner, the 24m superyacht Drumfire or the winner of this year´s St Barths Bucket Regatta, the 43m charter yacht This is Us.
