The Dutch design studio, Van Oossanen Naval Architects celebrated its 20th anniversary on January 26th, 2012. Van Oossanen Naval Architects have developed and implemented cutting edge design technology and used that technology in hundreds of designs, such as the revolutionary Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDFH) used on the Heesen 50m explorer yacht YN 16750.

Heesen Yachts lay the keel of YN 16465 – a 65m Fast Displacement Superyacht (FDHF)

Heesen Yachts is proud to announce the keel laying of a 65-metre Fast Displacement motor yacht, with interior by Dickie Bannenberg for delivery in June 2013. The ceremony took place in shed 6 – the metalwork shop – at Heesen’s shipyard in Oss, the Netherlands.

Van Oossanen & Associates’ Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) Motor yacht Concept Gaining Ground

The Fast Displacement Hull Form concept (FDHF, patent pending), by Van Oossanen & Associates was presented to a scientific audience a little more than a year ago at the FAST 2009 Conference, followed in April 2010 by the first publication of the Heesen 6500 FDHF. Van Oossanen & Associates (VOA) have now secured orders for the naval architecture of 6 more FDHF motor yachts.
