On Thursday, May 8, 2014, the Superyacht UK and over 80 of its members gathered together at the Pendennis Shipyard and Falmouth area to welcome its new management.
Phase 1 of the Pendennis yard’s major redevelopment project will be completed this month. Phase 2 is due to be completed in Spring 2015, transforming the UK yard into one of the most impressive facilities in the world.
Luxury sailing yacht M5 (ex Mirabella V) left Pendennis yard in the UK following her extensive refit earlier this year and headed for the South Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.
Following the completion of her final fit-out, sail trials and systems testing earlier this year, the remodelled mega yacht M5 (ex Mirabella V) left Pendennis for the South Atlantic and Pacific Oceans in early April 2014.
Set to take place in UK’s Falmouth from May 26 to 31, the 2014 Pendennis Cup will feature the Red Arrows display, in order to celebrate the conclusion of an exciting week of racing.
The world’s largest sloop, superyacht M5 (ex Mirabella V) has recently undergone sail trials in Falmouth, as part of the final stages of her major remodelling and interior redesign project at Pendennis Shipyard.
Refitted by Pendennis, the impressive Ron Holland-designed superyacht M5 (ex Mirabella V) has recently undergone successful sea trials in the North Atlantic.
This year’s Pendennis Cup will run Falmouth, UK, from May 26 to 31. The event will be once again hosting such important vessels as superyacht Adela, luxury yacht Christopher, Mariette yacht, and many others.
The expansion of Pendennis’ Falmouth facilities is progressing as planned. The two new 95m construction halls have been completed, already hosting such important vessels as charter yacht Nostromo.

Having lasted 5 hours and mainly in darkness, the re-stepping of the luxury yacht M5’s impressive 89m mast, managed by Marine Results, took place at Pendennis on last Saturday, October 19, 2013. Over the next few days, her full carbon fibre and titanium rig will be put in place, using the same optical fibre technology installed on the America’s Cup catamarans.
After her extensive refit at Pendennis in the UK, the impressive 78-metre mega yacht M5 (ex Mirabella V) is now afloat and re-rigged. Originally penned by Ron Holland, she is expected to cruise the azure waters of the popular yacht charter destination – the South Pacific in 2014.
