Palermo to Monte Carlo is the next challenge for the sailing yacht Esimit Europa 2. The yacht will face 26 other top class yachts starting the 500 mile race in the Tyrrhenian Sea on Wednesday 18th August 2010.
The Yacht Club Italiano’s legendary committee boat, the Beppe Croce, had barely set the finish line when Esimit Europa 2 crossed over to take line honours in the first inshore race of the Giraglia Rolex Cup 2010.
15 years ago, the Esimit Europa project symbolically connected border cities and regions and the idea that seemed utopian at the time became reality with the expansion of the European Union. Today is the time for a new dimension — a Pan-European dimension.
