2012 International Design Awards Finalists announced by ISS

The 2012 ISS Design Awards finalist have been announced today, with the winners to be announced on the 25th October at the ISS’s annual International Design Awards Gala.

Secretary of the J Class Association retires

Having worked as Secretery of the J Class Association for the last 12 years, David Pitman now retires. He helped develop, construct and launch four J Class yachts, including charter yacht Ranger in 2002, luxury yacht Hanuman in 2009, Lionheart superyacht in 2010 as well as superyacht Rainbow in 2012.

The number of J-Class Superyachts attending the UK Regattas revised

The Falmouth Regatta will be finally attended only by the four J-Class superyachts and not the six as expected, without the presence of the sailing yacht Hanuman as well as the charter yacht Endeavour. The latter is supposed to race only in the Solent regattas.

4 Dykstra designed J Class Superyachts started the J Class Racing Season

It has been the first time in 75 years, that four Dykstra Naval Architects designed J’s, including the 130´ charter yacht Endeavour, the 129´ sailing yacht Velsheda, the 138´ superyacht Hanuman and the 41.55m charter yacht Ranger competed together in the St Barths Bucket Regatta.
