The winners of the 2015 ShowBoats Design Awards were announced at the five-star Bio-Hotel Stanglwirt in Kitzbühel, Austria, yesterday afternoon, on February 23, 2015. The evening’s big winners included mega yacht Grace E that has received four Neptune trophies.
The majestic 58m (190′) was launched as the world’s first hybrid superyacht by Royal Huisman in 2008. Since then, she has been successfully operating in hybrid mode for quite some time, just like the 46m (152′) Royal Huisman ketch Elfje.
The 151ft Pilot Classic super yacht ELFJE and the 157ft luxury yacht WISP have been shortlisted for the 2015 ShowBoats Design Awards 2015 in three sailing yacht award categories. Both vessels were built by Royal Huisman to a design by Hoek.
A beautiful pair of custom Edson wheels have been installed on the 46m Royal Huisman super yacht Elfje (Project 392). Edson has also designed and manufactured the advanced mechanical steering system.
