Following the highly anticipated Olympic Games of London, the Aberdeen Asset Management Cowes Week will run from August 11-18, with participation of sailors coming from all over the world.
The Aberdeen Asset Management Cowes Week, running from August 11 to 18, is supposed to be attended by Skandia Team GBR’s sailors on August 17, following their racing at the London 2012 Olympics.
Due to low participation of exhibitors, the Queen´s Diamond Jubilee Boat & Leisure Festival, scheduled to be held in Cowes Yacht Haven from June 4 to 5, had to be called off.
Champagne Lanson, including White Label, Black Label, Rosé Label as well as Gold Label Vintage Champagne Lanson, has been selected as a New Official Champagne of Aberdeen Asset Management Cowes Week 2012, taking place from August 11 to 18.
Saturday 30th June 2011 saw a new entry to the J.P. Morgan Asset Management Round the Island Race: the 49.5m charter yacht Eleonora, launched in March 2000 by the Dutch Van der Graaf shipyard. This amazing vessel will be sailed by famous Ben Ainslie, that will co-helm with the vessel´s owner, helped by the vessel´s captain Mike McMillan.
Four glorious big class vessels will grace the squadron start line for the second running of the Westward Cup, taking place from June 11 to 16, 2012, including the 39.5m sailing yacht Altair, the 41.5m charter yacht Eleonora E (ex Eleonora), the 42m superyacht Mariette and the 38m Mariquita superyacht. Also invited, but as yet unconfirmed, are the 46m sailing yacht Lulworth and the 32m luxury yacht Moonbeam IV.
Queen´s Diamond Jubilee Regatta will be hosted by a number of Isle of Wight clubs, including the Royal Yacht Squadron, Royal Thames YC, Royal London YC, Royal Victoria YC, Royal Corinthian YC, Island Sailing Club, East Cowes Sailing Club, Cowes Corinthian YC, Gurnard Sailing Club, Bembridge Sailing Club and Cowes Town Regatta Committee.
Sailing yacht Savannah, the 90ft J Class replica owned by yachtsman Hugh Morrison will be competing in the 2012 J.P. Morgan Asset Management Round the Island Race.
Sail 4 Cancer Charity has been selected as Official Partner for Cowes Superyacht Cup 2012, held from 22 to 25 July, just a month after the Superyacht Cup Palma, taking place from 20 to 23 June, 2012. Sail 4 Cancer sponsors more than 400 people each year to get away from the stress of living with cancer.
Queen’s Diamond Jubilee will be celebrated in Cowes, situated in the Isle of Wight, UK with Boat & Leisure Festival, held in June 4-5, 2012.
Shepards Wharf Marina, situated in Cowes on the UK´s Isle of Wight has agreed on the redevelopment of the Sugar Store warehouse, offering new workshop units and office space for local businesses as well as a new bar/restaurant.
