It was another day of exciting competing for 18 yachts participating in the Oyster Regatta – Cowes 2012. Day 3 saw the newest Oyster 575 yacht Isis taking the first position in her class on corrected time, followed by Asante, Sotto Vento and Starry Night, respectively.
Day 2 of the Oyster Regatta – Cowes 2012 saw the flagship Oyster 82 sailing yacht Starry Night of the Caribbean taking the leading position.
Attended by 20 beautiful yachts built by the prestigious UK-based shipyard Oyster Yachts, the 29th Oyster Regatta in Cowes kicked off yesterday. The biggest luxury vessel to compete is the Oyster 82 superyacht Starry Night of the Caribbean.
The 2012 J.P. Morgan Asset Management Round the Island Race yachts gradually complete the race, with around 400 teams still competing. The largest yacht ever competing in this popular race, the 162ft luxury yacht Eleonora E (ex Eleonora), took 47th place in IRC 0 class.
Hosted by the Island Sailing Club, the 81st J.P. Morgan Asset Management Round the Island Race prizegiving rewarded charter yacht ICAP Leopard with Observer Trophy, while Gold Roman Bowl went to Manroland Sheetfed yacht and Silver Roman Bowl to Sundowner yacht.
With the official prizegiving taking place at the Island Sailing Club on Sunday 1 July, the 81st J.P. Morgan Asset Management Round the Island Race has unveiled its winners. The prominent Gold Roman Bowl for first boat overall on IRC handicap went to Tony Langley’s TP52 sailing yacht Manroland Sheetfed. Charter yacht ICAP Leopard completed the race in 03hrs, 59mins and 04secs.
With the presence of over 1,600 participating yachts, the 81st edition of the J.P. Morgan Asset Management Round the Island Race kicked off today. The race is attended by such spectacular vessels as the 100ft charter yacht ICAP Leopard or the 162ft superyacht Eleonora E (ex Eleonora).
The overall winner of this year’s Westward Cup has become the luxury sailing yacht Mariette, followed by the charter yacht Eleonora E (ex Eleonora) and the superyacht Mariquita, respectively.
With no competing on the final day Saturday 16 June, this year’s Westward Cup, attended by three big class vessels, including charter yacht Eleonora E (ex Eleonora), Mariette superyacht and luxury yacht Mariquita, was concluded today.
The three Big Class yachts racing in this year’s Westward Cup gathered today the Eatern Solent to compete for Yacht Club de Monaco Trophy. These include the 49.5m (160ft) charter yacht Eleonora E (ex Eleonora), the 42.06m (138ft) luxury yacht Mariette, and the 38.1m (125ft) superyacht Mariquita. Today’s race was won by Mariette, now having 3 points in the overall competing.
Day 1 of this year’s Westward Cup in Cowes, UK saw the 42m superyacht Mariette take the top position, followed by the 38m luxury yacht Mariquita and the 41.5m charter yacht Eleonora E (ex Eleonora) respectively.
