The Clipper Race is the longest ocean race, with over 40,000 miles of race, 15 ports to visit on six continents. The 2013-14 edition of the event is the largest in its history and will include over 670 crew from 40 different nationalities, on board twelve brand new designed 70-ft ocean racing yachts.
This year’s Clipper Round the World Yacht Race, the world’s longest yacht race, will be hosted by London for the very first time. The race will begin this Sunday.
The fleet taking part in the Clipper Round The World Race – Race 12 is currently heading towards the start line in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Clipper Round the World Yacht Race has announced that the UK’s City of Culture 2013, Northern Irelands Derry-Londonderry, will become part of the Clipper 11-12 Race with an official city boat in the race.
