Day 1 of this year’s BVI Spring Regatta started with perfect conditions, delivering the wind of 10-12 knots. However, the race ended earlier, due to unstable wind, that appeared later in the day. The Alia 82 charter yacht Aiyana took third place in Performance Cruiser 1 class.
The 2013 BVI Spring Regatta will start tomorrow, on March 29, after two days of spectacular racing in the BVI Sailing Festival in the popular Caribbean yacht charter destination – Tortola in the British Virgin Islands.
Day Two of the currently running BVI Spring Regatta & Sailing Festival saw the Caribbean Insurers Island Invitational Race to Norman Island, while tomorrow will bring the Tortola Island Day – ‘Wind, Water & Wander’ in order to see what the beautiful Caribbean yacht charter destination – Tortola has to offer when not sailing.
Today’s Round Tortola Race for the Nanny Cay Cup saw the overall victory of the Alia 82 charter yacht Aiyana, smashing the monohull record.
