The overall winner of this year’s RORC Caribbean 600 has become George Sakellaris’ RP72 sailing yacht Shockwave. The prize was presented to the yacht’s crew at Antigua Yacht Club on Friday, February 28.
Day Four of the 2014 RORC Caribbean 600 saw 17 yachts complete the race. In the Superyacht Class, luxury yacht Adela won the last leg to take Line Honours and she takes the win on corrected time.
Hap Fauth’s JV72 yacht Bella Mente has claimed the Monohull Line Honours for the 2014 Rorc Caribbean 600, followed by superyacht Rambler 90 and sailing yacht Shockwave, respectively.
The upcoming St. Maarten Heineken Regatta 2014 will start on March 6, with the traditional warm-up race known as ‘Gill Commodore’s Cup’. The largest vessel to compete this year will be the Oyster 885 charter yacht Clare.
At 0700 on Day Three of the currently running RORC Caribbean 600, Hap Fauth’s sailing yacht Bella Mente, George David’s superyacht Rambler and George Sakellaris’ luxury yacht Shockwave were approaching the last island of the course in the closest finish ever for the regatta.
