Light conditions continue to characterize the currently running Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup. Today’s winners were: Shockwave yacht with a first and a third in the Mini Maxi Rolex World Championship; superyacht Velsheda in J-Class; luxury yacht Highland Fling in Maxi Racing; Altair yacht in Maxi Racing/Cruising; Nilaya superyacht in Supermaxi while J-One yacht and Magic Carpet 3 yacht both scored a win and a second in Wally.
The highly anticipated Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup 2013 is set to commence today, on September 2, 2013. A total number of 37 maxi yachts will be participating in this popular event. The largest attending yacht is the 157-foot superyacht Nativa.
The next 24th edition of the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup is set to kick off on September 1, being hosted by the spectacular Italian yacht charter location – Porto Cervo in Sardinia.
This year’s Rolex Capri Sailing Week Volcano Race was marked by changing and challenging conditions. The overall winner of the Rolex Trophy and Rolex timepiece was Alexander Schaerer’s Mini Maxi yacht Caol Ila R.
The overall winner of the 2013 Rolex Capri Sailing Week Volcano Race on IRC has become sailing yacht Caol Ila R, followed by luxury yacht Jethou, taking the second place.
Leg Two of the 2012 Rolex Volcano Race started today with a delay, at 18:00 CEST from Marina Piccola in Capri.
