A major stake in UK superyacht and commercial repair and new-build company Burgess Marine has been acquired by London-headquartered private equity investor RJD Partners. RJD has committed £11m to fund the deal, as well as provide further resources for expansion through organic growth or acquisition.
Following her three-year refit, the 65m classic super yacht Shemara left Trafalgar Wharf in UK’s Portchester last month to undergo her final sea trials in Southampton.
The interior areas of the 56m superyacht Tacanuya will be sympathetically revitalised by Trimline Yacht Interiors at Burgess Engineering’s Porchester facility, with completion scheduled for next month.
