2014 Rolex Swan Cup day three was represented by strong winds from the west and fantastic sailing through the legendary Bomb Alley and between the stunning islands of Caprera and La Maddalena.
so far, a total number of 351 yachts have confirmed their participation in the next Rolex Fastnet Race, starting on August 11, 2013. This year, 119 boats are from overseas.
The Gazprom Swan 60 Class has received a one design class status by the International Sailing Federation (ISAF).

Due to strong winds caused by Mistral, the morning’s competing on Day 3 of the 2012 Rolex Swan Cup was postponed untill 14:00 CEST. Day 3 victory went to charter yacht Highland Breeze (NED) in Maxi; sailing yacht Merel Four (NED) in Grand Prix; luxury yacht Shirlaf (ITA) in Classic while Earlybird (GER) took the first place in the Rolex Swan 45 World Championship.
Day 2 of this year’s Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup was marked by a 20-knot breeze, allowing to start the racing as planned. Victory went to Swan 80 yacht Berenice Bis in Maxi Class, Magical Mystery Tour yacht in Grand Prix class and Ondine yacht in Classic. Talj yacht has become the best performer in the Rolex Swan 45 World Championship.
An important Russian energy company, Gazprom, has been introduced to the ClubSwan Partners’ family, as recently announced by Nautor’s Swan. Their collaboration involves the creation of the Gazprom Swan 60 Class. Nautor’s Swan is expected to deliver 8 luxury Swan 60 yachts by the end of September 2012.
Celebrating the one hundred year anniversary of the establishment of the Russian Yachting Federation (RYF) as well as the one hundred year anniversary of a Russian sailor winning the first Olympic medal in sailing, the 2012 is a very important year for Russian sailing.
The Yacht Club of Saint-Petersburg’s Swan 60 yacht Bronenosec, with Russian as well as Italian crew aboard, is trying to bring the Russian sailing back on the map. Supported by Gazprom, this splendid vessel is currently racing in the 60th edition of the Giraglia Rolex Cup from St Tropez, France to Sanremo, Italy, leaving St Tropez for Genoa today.
