Performance Yachts picked up two prestigious awards last night at the Showboats Design Awards 2010 in Florida. Awards were presented to sailing yacht Liara for the Naval Architecture by Dixon Yacht Design and the modern technology on the Performance Yachts highly innovative lifting keel.
Out of a total of 132 products entered in this year’s prestigious DAME – Design Award METS competition, the DAME Jury has nominated 63 from which the overall and category winners will be chosen. The competition is held every year in conjunction with METS inc. SuperYacht Pavilion.
Motor Yacht Mitsi is the 4th Peri 29 model launched from the Turkish shipyard Peri Navi. The 29 metre yacht comes from the award winning Peri 29 series and is currently undergoing sea trials, before her delivery to her Owner.
The 37 m 2006 superyacht YII as designed by Dixon Yacht Design and built by Holland Jachtbouw is now newly available for luxury yacht charters in the Mediterranean and elsewhere.
Dixon Yacht Designs latest project Sailing Yacht METEOR is for an owner they have already designed two yachts for, and presented them with interesting challenges.
Yachting Developments currently have a 100ft composite performance cruising sloop under construction at its yard in Auckland. From the design board of naval architects Dixon Yacht Design the vessel is referred to as build number YD69, or by its project name “Meteor 100”
Dixon Yacht Design and Atollvic shipyard have announced that they will be collaborating on the building of the new concept, the Superyacht Atollvic Adventure. The concept, created by Dixon Yacht Design offers a fresh, new approach to cruising. The “hybrid” mini superyacht has been designed for long-term cruising and is a modern reinvention of the traditional motor sailor – rugged, yet stylish, with good performance under both power and sail. It is an expedition yacht with truly green credentials.
The owner of the uncompleted Dixon 120 yacht contacted Moonen due to the yard’s growing reputation in the refit market as well as its fine track record of building new superyachts. “Due to the status of the project at the time it was abandoned, the completion of the yacht is a delicate balance between a new build and a refit,” explains Moonen’s director operations Mark Vermeulen.
