Glasshape® Limited Specialist Glass Products, manufacturer of DuraShield® Superyacht and Marine Glass, reported that 2010 sales to date are up 42 percent compared to last year – 35 percent higher than the initial forecast which was set 40 percent above 2009 sales.

Luxury charter expedition yacht Big Fish has safely arrived in Fort Lauderdale, from where she will depart in mid November for the second leg of her circumnavigation.

First Stop will be Tahiti, then on to Fort Lauderdale. After almost three years of construction, the 45 meter Luxury Expedition Yacht Big Fish quietly slipped her ways in the Auckland Harbor Viaduct on June 28 and pointed her bows toward her first destination of Papeete in the Society Islands.
Superyacht Big Fish is scheduled to depart Auckland after final finishing in mid-June to begin her maiden voyage – the first-ever Polar Circumnavigation – which will begin in Tahiti and continue to the Antarctic, then to the Amazon, then to the Caribbean, Northern Europe, and conclude with the first luxury yacht transit of the fabled Northeast Passage over the top of Russia. The yacht, which will be available for charter throughout its route over the top and bottom of the world, has already booked several charters in Tahiti.
After delivery, Yacht Big Fish will embark on the first leg of her historic round-the-world Polar Circumnavigation voyage. Her first stop will be the enchanting islands of French Polynesia, where she will be photographed prior to starting her charter career.

Big Fish will be based in the South Pacific for the coming Northern Hemisphere summer, and then will visit Fort Lauderdale for the international yacht show, after which she will embark on an extraordinary and historic cruise to be the first vessel in history to complete a Polar Circumnavigation, including the first yacht crossing of the famed Northeast Passage over the top of Russia. Big Fish will be offering 10-day luxury expedition charters in the Antarctic (Dec. – Feb.), the Amazon (Mar. – April), Cuba (May – June) and Northern Europe/Arctic Circle/Northeast Passage (July – Sept.) before returning to the Pacific in late September 2011.
