The breath-taking Antigua yacht charter destination witnessed possibly the finest yacht race in the Caribbean as the 66-boat fleet racing in the 7th edition of the RORC Caribbean 600 set off on February 23, 2015. The next year’s race will kick off on February 22.
Bella Mente yacht has become the third Maxi 72 to win the RORC Caribbean 600 overall. The prizegiving ceremony will take place on Friday 27th February at the Antigua Yacht Club.
Day 4 of the RORC Caribbean 600 saw 19 complete the race, with 43 yachts still racing. Sailing yacht Rambler 88 has scored the best corrected time, followed by Mike Slade’s Farr 100 charter yacht Leopard.
Day 2 of the RORC Caribbean 600 saw the vast majority of the 64-strong fleet negotiate the chicane of islands to the northern end of the course. At dawn, sailing yacht Adela and charter yacht Athos were side-by-side entering the Anguilla Channel.
Next week will be marked by the start of the RORC Caribbean 600 yacht race. To be hosted by the lovely Antigua yacht holiday destination, the popular Caribbean regatta will be attended by such outstanding vessels as the 203′ charter yacht ATHOS – the largest vessel to compete this year.
This year’s RORC Caribbean 600 is set to kick off in the enchanting Antigua yacht vacation location on February 23, hosting such outstanding vessels as 100ft Maxi charter yacht Leopard, as well as the recently launched 88ft sailing yacht Rambler.
Yesterday, September 3, 2014, was marked by Day 3 of the currently running Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup. In the Supermaxi Class, luxury yacht Firefly leads, going into the second half of the competition, but only by one point from Inoui yacht.
A fleet of Maxi yachts participating in the currently running Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup enjoyed clear skies and a fresh mistral breeze on Day 2. The J-Class leader is presently superyacht Rainbow.
This year’s 25th Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup officially kicked off yesterday, on September 1, 2014. Day 1 was marked by the victory of charter yacht Ranger in J-Class.
This year’s Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup is set to kick off in the lovely Sardinia yacht holiday location – Porto Cervo today, on September 1. The largest vessel to attend will be the 43,7m (143′) J Class superyacht Lionheart.
