Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta 2014 to kick off on April 17

Representing the first stage of the Panerai Classic Yachts Challenge 2014, the 27th edition of the Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta will run from April 17 to 22, hosting around 50 yachts.

MARIELLA Yacht Wins The Inn Challenge Trophy

The fine Italian silver Inn Challenge Trophy went to the Carlo Falcone’s sailing yacht Mariella. The legendary 79ft ketch defended the Mariella Challenge in the match race with Robert Fabre’s 42ft Vagabundo II yacht, with a great success.

Yesterday, April 17, was marked by a race to decide who will compete against the 79ft classic sailing yacht Mariella for The Inn Challenge Trophy, taking place in Antigua today, on April 18. Luxury yacht Vagabundo II has become today’s winner.

Set to run in Antigua from April 17 to 18, the inaugural Inn Challenge Trophy represents a race for classic yachts in the style of the America’s Cup. It will be hosting the 80-foot yacht Mariella, built by Fife to a design by Alfred Mylne.
