The Caribbean sailing season’s Grand Finale – Antigua Sailing Week – is set to kick off in only three weeks. The event will be attended by more than 100 luxury yachts, coming from all over the world.
This year’s Antigua Sailing Week will start in less than one month, running at the popular Caribbean yacht charter destination – Antigua, from April 28 to May 3.
The highly anticipated 46th edition of Antigua Sailing Week will once again host the big yachts of the Caribbean, including the beautiful Farr 115 charter yacht Sojana. So far, more than 70 yachts have signed up for this popular race.
The prominent Antigua Sailing Week will return to the beautiful Caribbean yacht charter destination – Antigua, from April 28 to May 3. Its 2013 edition will feature a new racing event, The Nonsuch Bay RS Elite Challenge.
The Antigua Sailing Week team will bring the Caribbean spirit to the 2012 Aberdeen Asset Management Cowes Week. There will also be a unique opportunity to enjoy English Harbour Rum.
The organisers of the Antigua Sailing Week are aware of the fact that gaining feedback on their event via surveys is an important means of understanding how participants responded to the event and how they would like to see things change in the future.
The Lord Nelson Trophy has gone to the sailing yacht El Ocaso for the best overall performance of any yacht during this year´s Antigua Sailing Week.
The final day 5 of the Antigua Sailing Week 2012 revealed its winners, with Geoff Hill’s Santa Cruz 72 sailing yacht Antipodes winning in CSA 1A. Peter Harrison’s Farr 115 charter yacht Sojana took the third place.
Day 4 of Antigua Sailing Week was another difficult day for competitors, resulting in a large number of incidents as well as a major collision between Oyster 82 superyacht Starry Night of the Caribbean and On Deck’s Farr 65 sailing yacht Spirit of Isis. Tomorrow´s last day of racing will be crucial.
There was an incident this morning on Day 4 of Antigua Sailing Week between the Farr 65 yacht Spirit of Isis belonging to Ondeck team and the Oyster 82 sailing yacht Starry Night of the Caribbean. Fortunately, the incident caused just minor injuries.
Day 3 of this year´s Antigua Sailing Week brought another day of big breeze for competitors of this famous Caribbean race. Farr 115 luxury charter yacht Sojana was beaten today by Santa Cruz 72 sailing yacht Antipodes by less than a minute.
It was another day of the perfect weather conditions for the crews competing in the Antigua Sailing Week 2012, boasting good wind as well as waves. Farr 115 charter yacht Sojana finished first today in CSA 1A.
