The prominent Dutch builder, Amels, has launched the latest Limited Editions 180 series vessel – the 55-metre superyacht Hull 456. More details are still to be released by the yard.
Sterling Scott-designed superyacht Project REBORN has been selected as one of the finalists for the International Yacht & Aviation Award 2014, in the ‘Power Yacht over 60m’ category. The project is based on luxury charter yacht Reborn, originally launched by Amels in 1999.
The Fast Yacht Support vessel GARÇON, a Damen-built support vessel to an 87m luxury superyacht, has won the ISS Award of Distinction for Innovation. Sales and marketing of the Damen range of Yacht Support vessels is handled by Amels.
Designed by multi-award winning Tim Heywood, the impressive 74-metre Limited Editions Amels 242 superyacht has been successfully sold by the respected Dutch shipyard, Amels. She is due to be delivered in 2016.
The second 67-metre Sea Axe 6711 Fast Yacht Support vessel has been successfully launched by Damen, following a huge success of the first Sea Axe 6711 Garçon, a support vessel to the impressive 87m Lurrsen superyacht ACE.
This year saw another successful edition of the prominent Monaco Yacht Show, attended by 33,730 participants. The 2014 edition of the event will feature 15 additional berths for megayachts measuring up to 120m in length.
Handed over during the presentation taking place aboard the new Amels superyacht Engelberg, the first Baccarat SuperYacht World Trophy went to the breath-taking Perini Navi charter yacht Maltese Falcon.
Set to run in Monaco’s Port Hercule from September 25 to 28, this year’s Monaco Yacht Show will be hosting more than 100 finest superyachts, including such jewels as the 88m Lurssen mega yacht Quattroelle or the 42m Moonen motor yacht Sofia, and many others.
The next year’s 9th edition of the prestigious World Superyacht Awards will take place in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, on Saturday, May 3.

The brand-new 54m Amels LE180 luxury yacht Apollo is believed to have been handed over to her new Owner. Designed by Tim Heywood, she boasts customised interiors, designed by Laura Sessa Romboli, which can comfortably sleep up to 12 guests in 6 luxurious cabins.
