The prestigious NZ builder, Alloy Yachts, has presented their all-new 46m superyacht PS46 concept at the 2013 Monaco Yacht Show. Penned by Philippe Briand, this spectacular performance sloop is fully optimised, with all engineering design work complete.
A total number of 17 New Zealand-based organisations will participate in the next Monaco Yacht Show, including such important superyacht builders as Alloy Yachts and Fitzroy Yachts.
Supported by such prestigious superyacht designers as Ed Dubois and Ron Holland, the Friends of NZ Marine programme, an initiative launched by New Zealand Marine Industry Association (NZ Marine) earlier this year, represents a huge success.
The four Alloy Yachts’ apprentices – Jac Hebson, Luc Whitehouse, Travis Page and Theo Finlayson, headed by team leader Tim Rattray – were split into teams of two, with both teams representing Alloy Yachts and New Zealand.
This year’s Sydney International Boat Show (SIBS) will be hosting the Trans-Tasman Boat Building Challenge, running on August 3. The event will be attended by Alloy Yachts apprentices.
Featuring a full inventory of Doyle sails, the 44-metre superyacht Encore is a beautiful sloop, launched by Alloy Yachts at the end of April 2013.
To take place in San Francisco on September 7, 2013, the NZ Superyacht Day will run on the first day of the 34th America’s Cup. The event will be attended by five award-winning New Zealand superyacht companies: Alloy Yachts, Events Clothing, Fitzroy Yachts, McMullen & Wing, and Southern Spars.
