Critical Acclaim continues to flow for Alloy Yachts as two of the most recent builds, sailing yacht Imagine II and superyacht Kokomo, took home Awards at the Boat International World Superyacht Awards held last weekend.
Known locally as “The Big One”, Alloy Yachts today launched superyacht Vertigo. After 29 months of hard work by the team at Alloy Yachts, the 67.2m (220ft) Vertigo sailing yacht slipped into the waters at the base of the Alloy Yachts yard this morning.
The end of 2010 signalled the beginning of a new build for Alloy Yachts with the cutting of plate for 43.9m sailing yacht hull number AY45. With sailing yacht Vertigo soon to leave the shed and yachts AY43 and AY44 well underway, the team at Alloy Yachts began to cut the plate for the next yacht, a 43.9m sloop scheduled to launch in late 2012.

67 metre (220ft) Sailing Yacht Vertigo, previously known as yacht AY41, is wonderful and unique yacht design by Philippe Briand, currently under construction at Alloy Yachts in New Zealand. Yacht Vertigo is the largest yacht ever built by Alloy Yachts as well as the largest designed by the designer. Her extensive construction is overseen by the Australian project manager Andrew Senn. She will be launched in December 2010.
