To be once again hosted by an enchanting Caribbean yacht charter destination – Antigua, the 2013 RORC Caribbean 600 race will start on Monday, February 18. There will be 50 luxury vessels competing in this year’s popular race, including nine yachts over 90 feet in LOA, such as the outstanding 203-foot mega yacht Athos.
This year marks the 25th anniversary of the prestigious UK luxury yacht builder, Pendennis. The first Pendennis-built vessel is the 1988 superyacht La Cattiva (project Taramber).
The spectacular 55 m Pendennis superyacht Adela has been announced as the overall winner of the 2013 Antigua Superyacht Challenge that was running from January 25 to 27.
Nelson’s Dockyard in Antigua will once again host the popular Superyacht Challenge Antigua. The race will be attended by such spectacular vessels as the newly refitted Visione yacht as well as charter yacht Sojana, and many others.
Set to kick off in Antigua on February 18, the 2013 RORC Caribbean 600 yacht race will host a record fleet of luxury yachts, including such spectacular vessels as the 216-foot Hetairos megayacht that won the race in 2012.
Pendennis Palma will be working on an extensive 6-month winter refit on its classic motor yacht Fair Lady. This will comprise a 5 year MCA LY1 survey, a full overhaul of her systems as well as standing rigging.
Pendennis Palma is celebrating its first anniversary. This successful refit facility based at STP in Palma de Mallorca has already completed over 10 refits. These include charter yachts Nostromo and Andromeda La Dea, as well as superyacht Gloria by Jongert. From October 2012, the company will also start working on the 1928 classic motor yacht Fair Lady.
A very busy refit facility, Pendennis Palma, celebrates its first birthday. The company has already worked on plenty of luxury vessels, such as Pendennis charter yacht Nostromo, luxury yacht Tugatsu or Perini Navi charter yacht Andromeda La Dea. The future projects include the refit of superyacht Fair Lady.
The next edition of the RORC Caribbean 600 starts on 18 February 2013. Along with this year’s winner, the 215-foot superyacht Hetairos, the 2013 race will be attended by such spectacular vessels as the 180ft megayacht Adela or the 203ft luxury yacht Athos and many others.
MDL’s Ocean Village Marina was delighted to host three J Class yachts during the J Class Solent Regatta, including luxury yacht Velsheda, superyacht Lionheart as well as charter yacht Ranger. The marina also played host to Athos superyacht and sailing yacht Adela, participating in the Superyacht Cup.
Recently refitted charter yacht ICAP Leopard has just finished racing in the Superyacht Cup in Cowes and is already preparing to compete at Weymouth for the London 2012 Olympics. This splendid vessel will then return to the Solent to participate in this year’s Aberdeen Asset Management Cowes Week.
Marked by a special visit of HM The Queen aboard the 75m luxury charter yacht Leander, the newest WallyCento sailing yacht Hamilton has become the overall winner of the 2012 Superyacht Cup Cowes, followed by superyacht Adela and luxury yacht Athos, respectively.
