Racing Day 3 of the ACWS San Francisco was marked by a collision caused by the ORACLE TEAM USA Coutts, bringing this team to 10th position in the leaderboard, while Team Korea reached 2nd place, following ORACLE TEAM USA Spithill.
Racing Day 2 was very successful for the home team, ORACLE TEAM USA, taking the leading position. The ORACLE TEAM USA Spithill has thus gained 22 points up to now.
Yesterday, 22 August, saw the start of the America’s Cup World Series in San Francisco, as the first event of the 34th America’s Cup on San Francisco Bay. Both the Luna Rossa team as well as the Ben Ainslie’s J.P. Morgan team were very successful on the first day of racing.
During an official ceremony held last evening in the ACWS San Francisco Race Village at Marina Green, the 11 skippers leading crews at ACWS San Francisco were introduced.
