After a windy opening to the season of five regattas in Portugal, France, Spain and Italy, Marseille’s famous Rade Sud and Nord race courses in June are widely expected to offer a greater range of wind conditions than the blustery Portuguese season opener.
Lymington-based Green Marine, one of the world’s leading custom racing and high-performance cruising and superyacht builder specialists, has built and delivered two new contenders for the Audi 2011 TP52 Med Cup Challenge – yachts Rán IV and Container. Both yachts were designed by the renowned Judel Vrolik design office.
The 2011 Audi MedCup Circuit season is set to follow a very similar schedule of dates as 2010, with one regatta in each of France, Italy, Portugal and two regattas in Spain. As yet most of the city venues have been decided, but final negotiations are continuing.
