As of August 2013, Superyacht Interiors New Zealand Limited had a change of ownership and the company is now owned and operated by Michael and Marina Waterhouse. With more than 15 years of experience in the industry, the new management team is looking forward to rebuilding the company and take it to new horizons. Currently, the team is preparing for future projects, as well as quoting several projects in marine and residential interiors.

Michael Waterhouse has over 15 years of experience in boatbuilding and restoration, has in-depth knowledge of the superyacht industry, project and business management. Michael has both run his own companies, as well as sub-contracted to some of the country’s leading boatbuilding companies, allowing him to develop a strong understanding of what is required to establish and run a successful business and effectively manage staff. It is this experience that has also allowed him to understand the requirements of ‘the shop floor’ and streamline these processes to complement the financial needs of the business.

Marina Waterhouse, as a successful business owner for over 16 years, has a thorough understanding and knowledge of organisational policies, procedures, systems and legislation. Backed by a LLM from the University of Auckland, she has a strong understanding of business processes, employment law, human resources, contract management training, commercial policies, procurement and the application of these within New Zealand business. She brings strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to inspire co-operation and collaboration to achieve high-quality results.
