Luxury motor yacht Turquoise has received a superstructure colour match transformation in Matterhorn white earlier this month, performed by Wild Group International. The outstanding 56m superyacht Turquoise was launched by Proteksan Turquoise to a design by Dubois in 2011.

“Although I was sceptical at first, the result really is fantastic…. compared to paint the process is totally hassle free, the colour match is spot on…  I would definitely recommend using films and Wild Group to anyone needing to refresh their Yacht, ”says Captain of luxury yacht Turquoise.

The problem the 56m super yacht Turquoise had was staining on the overhangs, showing as streaks that couldn’t be cleaned or buffed off.

The overhang is a high visibility area and one of the first things the owner and luxury yacht charter guests see when boarding her.  The traditional approach of spray would have been very time consuming, and logistically challenging, requiring tenting.

Although skeptical at first, the Turquoise yacht chose to go the vinyl film route on these areas, using a film color matched to the existing matterhorn white paint.

The fitting process took 5 days and required no tenting.

The end result is a new fresh coat on the overhangs, which is expected to last 5 years.

Update 20/10/2014:

“Just to add to the article, we are now considering wrapping the entire yacht as opposed to the more conventional paint option. Great job, and thanks again!” comment from Captain Ben Craig-Cameron MNI
