Custom Line, part of the Ferretti Group, has successfully launched the first superyacht in the Custom Line 120′ series at their facilities in La Spezia. The technical launch took place with Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi, the Senior Management and the Custom Line Engineering and Sales teams in attendance, along with the yacht’s captain, who acted as the owner’s representative along with the broker who made the sale.

Custom Line 120 launched

Bringing together elements of architecture and automotive styling with classic luxury yacht styling, the Custom Line 120′ follows current design trends for appearance and layout for optimal space efficiency and represents a joint collaboration between Francesco Paszkowski and Ferretti Group’s Product Strategy Committee and Engineering Department.

The hull was constructed using infusion moulding, a new innovation that provides maximum solidity and lightness using a sandwich structure with carbon fibre.

The main deck aft features a cockpit with a large window that can be subdivided into two sections, extending the main salon. Above, the sleek flybridge offers uninterrupted views and privacy for guests spending time in the alfresco lounge or the Jacuzzi.

A pair of MTU 16V 2,000 M94 engines allow for a cruising speed of 22 knots and an estimated top speed of 25 knots.

Due for delivery at the end of 2017, the 37m/120ft planing yacht will have interior styling by Francesco Paszkowski with furnishings customised to the owner’s wishes.

A second Custom Line 120′ is currently under construction at the La Spezia facilities and a third will be transferred to the facilities in Liguria at the start of 2018.
