To be built in Australia by Evolution Yachts, she is based on a proven commercial hull design. Evolution Yachts have years of experience in shipbuilding benefiting from the many skills located at Perth’s maritime industry in Henderson, Western Australia. A building slot is available immediately with the first delivery taking place within 18 months.
Operated by up to14 crew, motoryacht INDEPENDENCE also has accommodation for up to 20 additional staff on call for the mother ship. Guests can also benefit from a dedicated Dive Center.
INDEPENDENCE vessel is built expressly for the purpose of carrying a large helicopter together with all the other tenders and toys to support a busy mother ship. Not only does INDEPENDENCE provide high technical maintenance facilities for an impressive Augusta Grande 109 helicopter, but also masses of extra storage and tankage. At 58 metres long with beam of 9.2 metres she has a 130 sq. metres open deck space and 135 sq.metre of height storage space. INDEPENDENCE can achieve speeds of up to 18 knots with its waterjet booster and an economic transatlantic range at 14 knots.
Support yacht INDEPENDENCE can also take other large helicopters like the EC 145Bell 429 or the Bell 429.
