This year’s 7th edition of Shenzhen International Boat Show (SIBEX) was a huge success. Known as ‘China’s first exhibition’, the four-day event came to an end on October 27, 2013.
SIBEX 2013 - Opening Ceremony
This year’s SIBEX featured three water piers and an increased exhibition space of 15,000 square meters. The event was attended by exhibitors coming from more than 20 countries around the world and a total number of 122 yachts were on display.
On the morning of the first day, a grand opening ceremony took place in the Exhibition Hall Beach Bar. The opening ceremony hosted Yantian District government leaders, UB Group Chairman Mr. Dan Dawei, show guests, exhibitors, as well as the media.
On the evening of October 25 a banquet themed “Sea Night” took place at the King Key Palace Banquet Hall, hosting the Golden Sail Awards Ceremony. Among the dignitaries present at the event were top-level bankers, diplomats, as well as representatives of the luxury yachting world’s most important brands.
In comparison to 2012, the 2013 edition of SIBEX was marked by a 20% growth in terms of size and visitor numbers.
