Registration for the Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta will close on 4th May 2014 and the organizers are delighted to welcome a spectacular fleet of sailing yachts to the 2014 edition.

The event, which takes place 3 – 7 June, boasts a competitive fleet of sailing superyachts set to take to the start line for four days of racing on the glistening emerald waters of La Maddalena archipelago, off Porto Cervo. With 25 entries confirmed, six of which built by the event’s Silver Sponsor, Southern Wind Shipyard, a limited number of berths remain and owners yet to register are encouraged to do so as soon as possible to secure their place in the fleet. Established in 2008, the annual Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta has become a firm favourite on the superyacht racing calendar, renowned for kicking off the Mediterranean racing season in style. Set against Sardinia’s spectacular coastline, the regatta is recognized for an elegant and diverse social programme and high performance racing in equal measure.

Glamorous Porto Cervo delivers the perfect backdrop as superyacht owners are invited to enjoy the Loro Piana Owners Dinner at the YCCS Clubhouse, whilst all guests are set to attend a stylish welcome cocktail, an exquisite gala dinner and a beach party which takes place on the island’s pure white sands. The event culminates in a final prize-giving ceremony in Porto Cervo’s prestigious Piazza Azzurra which brings together owners and their skilled race crew.
The event welcomes sailing yachts with an LOA over 80ft. Registration is recommended without delay to secure a place in the fleet and berth at YCCS Marina.
