British ship builders Princess Yachts have launched their latest luxury yacht and new flagship, the S78.

Designed for entertaining, the layout of the 24.6m/80ft sportsbridge yacht is balanced between indoor and outdoor living with extensive windows and large sliding doors to reduce the difference and create a natural flow. The salon uses world-class NAIM audio technology for crisp sound when listening to music and watching films.

The main deck aft is fitted with an alfresco dining area/outdoor saloon that can be configured to guest requirements, and two separate sunpads for taking in the sunshine while guests enjoy uninterrupted views of their destination.

Below, there is a hydraulic bathing platform and a tender garage with an integrated tender launch system for quick and efficient transit and storage.
One of the advantages of the S78 is her draft of 1.8m/5.1ft which allows her to approach closer to beaches and navigate shallower waterways. The beam of 5.1m/1.8ft creates a spacious open plan living area in the salon for up to 8 guests, while the lower deck offers accommodation across four en-suite cabins, with a further twin cabin available for additional guests or crew.

Among her custom options is a choice of engines, with the lowest option providing an estimated 34-36 knots at half load without any additional equipment on board, and the highest option providing 37-39 knots under the same conditions.
The first yacht in the S78 series will debut at the Boot Dusseldorf Boat Show in January 2018.
