Superyacht Lena, the 5th hull of the 40 Alloy series by San Lorenzo has been launched. M/Y Lena is a fast aluminium superyacht with a planning hull built at the Sanlorenzo Shipyard in Viareggio.

The Van Dam Nordia shipyard is one of the world’s oldest yacht-builders. Since shipbuilding is a trade that often goes from one generation to the next, the Van Dam yard has also been passed on through the family ranks. Until this day the yard is owned by the Van Dam family and run by Robert van Dam’s son in law Jacco Jongkind, Managing Director of the yard. The design department is lead by Robin ten Hoope, who has been co-responsible for the latest generation of Nordia yachts for the past 10 years. This month Van Dam Nordia welcomed the Yacht Sirene to our yard, a motoryacht built by Feadship in 1962. This lovely yacht has already had many modifications over the decades, and the current owner is aiming to bring her back to original state. Yachts Sirene is due to be ready in about three months time.
Unfortunate news has come to hand that the superyacht Madiblue has fire onboard in the Greece marina called Vouliagmeni. Further details about the Madi Blue motor yacht fire are as yet unknown. Yacht Madiblue is 46.7 metres in length and was built by the Australian company Oceanfast in 1986.
