This is a video showing the assembly of the all-new 485-ton superyacht hoist at Front Street Shipyard in the USA. One of the first vessels hauled by the hoist was the 130-foot charter yacht Magic. The yard is also planning to build a new building.
Front Street Shipyard is currently working on the refit of the 130-foot charter yacht Magic, in collaboration with her original design team, Setzer Yacht Architects. The yard has been able to take on some extensive superyacht refits, thanks to their new 484-ton hoist.
The recently concluded Voiles de Saint-Tropez 2013 was a great success. The event hosted 4,000 sailors and 300 Classic as well as Modern yachts, providing them with ideal sailing conditions.
Headed by Pierpaolo Lazzarini, Lazzarini Design from Italy introduced their all-new 2014 Jet Capsule superyacht tender during the last month’s Monaco Yacht Show. It can easily reach a top speed of up to 25 knots.
Construction and delivery of the new 32-metre Benetti Sail Division superyacht BSD 105 RS (Rounded Stern) has been signed by Whyko. The vessel is scheduled for delivery in Spring 2014.
The prominent British luxury yacht designer, Tim Heywood, joined the leading UK superyacht directory, Yachting Pages, at their stand during the Monaco Yacht Show 2013 to sign his first superyacht sculpture, called Floating Crystal Silver.
The ‘Best Yacht of Monaco Yacht Show 2013’ award went to the breath-taking 65-metre mega yacht Galactica Star, designed by Omega Architects.
This year’s Genoa Boat Show featured six luxury yachts by Sunseeker, including the all-new 115 Sport Yacht, as well as the 30 Metre Yacht.
Featuring exterior design by Camper & Nicholsons Yachts, the new 42-metre superyacht Filante 42 will be constructed by ISAYachts in Italy. The Filante 42 design made its world debut at the last month’s Monaco Yacht Show.
This year’s Oyster Regatta Palma came to its end. The event was attended by 26 Oyster yachts, divided into three classes. Oyster 885 superyacht Karibu has become the overall winner of Class 1.
Due to the already light NNE breeze, disappearing at noon exactly as forecast, the planned second race of the second day of racing at the Oyster Regatta Palma 2013 had to be abandoned.
Attended by about 150,000 visitors, the recently concluded revamped 53rd edition of the Genoa International Boat Show was a great success. The event hosted 750 exhibitors and 1,000 boats.
