Britain’s largest independent ship repairer, Burgess Marine, will work on an extensive refit of a 57m 1992 Swiftship yacht. This will include structural, mechanical and electrical works and is expected to last 8 – 9 months.
Chairman and CEO of CRN, Lamberto Tacoli, received the “Yacht Capital Award”, organised by the specialized magazine, Yacht Capital. The award was handed over at the Genoa’s Italian Yacht Club during the 2013 Genoa Boat Show.
Preparations for the 2014 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS) are in full swing. Set to run from May 22 to 25, the event will boast a new look. The new user-focused SCIBS website will go live on October 23.
April 2013 saw the successful delivery of the first 60 Sunreef Power charter yacht FOREVER to her proud Mexican owners. Following her US premiere at the upcoming Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show, the catamaran will be available for viewing and sea trials in Isla de las Mujeres, Cancun, Mexico on 9th and 10th November 2013.
The all-new Blue Coast 78′ yacht by Blue Coast Yachts is presently in build in Thailand, due to be delivered at the end of next year. This lovely sailing catamaran features accommodation for up to 8 guests and a crew of 4.
Based in Riga, Latvia, Latitude Yachts is currently working on the brand new Blue Coast 101′ DD superyacht, scheduled for delivery at the end of 2014 and penned by Coste Design & Partners.
The forthcoming Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show will be attended by the respected Dutch luxury yacht manufacturer, Oceanco. The breath-taking 88,5m mega yacht Nirvana will be showcased during the event.
The Organizing Committee of the Yachting After Sales & Refit Exhibition (YARE) has presented the new logo for the 2014 edition, representing the event as an on-going “experience” that recurs several times during the year.
Currently under refit at Derecktor Florida, the classic 150-foot superyacht The Highlander by Feadship is scheduled for re-launch in late November. The refit includes re-furbishment of the engine room, new interior, as well as hull extension.
Following an extensive refit at Derecktor Florida, the 147-foot expedition yacht The Big Blue (ex Imbros) by Troy Marine left the yard to go through sea trials on September 12, performing just as she was expected to.
