The custom-build hull was towed from Kiel to Rendsburg using two tugs for the journey: The task began at 10 am and the hull passed through the Kiel Canal locks before cruising along the River Eider at a top speed of 8 knots for three hours to reach her final destination at 1:30 pm.

At the Rendsburg facility, the hull is expected to receive a matt-black paint coat to copy the skin of a black shark. Above, the superstructure will be finished in silver and the mast is designed to look like a shark fin. Winch Design has used the dark exterior across three decks to draw attention to PROJECT BLACK SHARK’s voluminous 2,080GT.

“Following the keel laying in February this year, we are excited to see PROJECT BLACK SHARK entering the next phase of the build process, interior and exterior outfitting, which will commence at our facility in Rendsburg,” commented Fadi Pataq from Nobiskrug.

The shipyard has previously revealed that her on board amenities will include an on-deck whirlpool, beach club and spa in addition to storage for two tenders and that she is being built to IMO Tier III regulations. Her delivery is expected in 2021.
