Some of the aims set in designing the new Bering 70 yacht were to create a vessel that has capability and a smooth easy motion even in the roughest conditions, allows for easy navigation into beaches and rivers (the mast can rotate down thru 90 degrees to reduce air draft), has a highly efficient and easily driven hull form requiring only low power engines giving excellent fuel economy, is spacious and luxurious for extended cruising or living aboard, has large outdoor spaces, and embraces ‘green technology’ throughout in its design thinking.
