GR Design House, a Dubai-based studio founded by Franco Gianna and naval architect Josh Rodriguez, have unveiled their first superyacht concept which is named PROJECT BANDIDA.

Project Bandida

At 44m/144ft there is plenty of room on board for lavish interiors, yet a significant focus has been placed on three sizeable alfresco living areas: The main deck aft, the foredeck and the flybridge. The first area showcases a dining table in the main deck cockpit for eight guests, while the stern is covered in a sofa-sunpad in addition to two aft-facing L-shaped sofas and drinks tables for socialising day or night. A stairway will lead down into the beach club, which will open out onto the sea via a glass transom door.

The flush foredeck will be covered in sunbeds for the whole group to spread out and soak up the sunshine and scenery, however the sundeck will prove to be the favourite alfresco living area with an abundance of sunpads and seating along the stern, sides and forward with a glass-sided swimming pool taking centre place.

Behind the silvery grey or charcoal grey choice of hull colours, the tender garage forward of the beach club is designed to fit a 6.5m/21ft tender to be launched and retrieved via a side hatch. The lower deck will also contain four large guest cabins and a generous crew area for eight. The main deck forward shall host the Master suite built with a fold-down terrace and panoramic views, while the salon and formal dining area would be placed aft.

PROJECT BANDIDA would be constructed as a full-displacement superyacht with families and use as a charter vessel in mind, and is therefore designed for the utmost comfort and style. A pair of Caterpillar C32-Acert engines will give a top speed of 18 knots and a cruising speed of 16 knots allowing for an impressive range of 5,000 nautical miles.
