On a misty November morning, the 47m/154ft superyacht launched last month as PROJECT 697 and now named FEMKE, left the Feadship facilities in Aalsmeer and headed to the Royal van Lent facility in Kaag.

Featuring the naval architecture and exterior styling of Feadship in-house team De Voogt Naval Architects, Feadship has likened their latest superyacht project to hulls such as AURORA B from the early 90s; the white superstructure stands out against a traditional navy blue hull and features such as teak railings have made a comeback and grills feature in the aluminium superstructure. The helm is also fitted with forward slanting windows and instead of the contemporary trend of windows producing a seamless exterior appearance, luxury yacht FEMKE has square windows broken up by obvious window frames.

M/Y FEMKE was built for an experienced owner looking for a superyacht with cutting-edge technology combined with Feadship’s classic era of motor yachts, with an interior reportedly to match.

The guest accommodation is designed to sleep up to 10 across 5 cabins while the crew accommodation sleeps up to 9. Using twin MTU 12V 2000 M72 diesel engines, she has a top speed of 14.5 knots and a range of 4,000 nautical miles.
