ETY, Spain’s largest class compliant yacht switchboard manufacturer, has designed and produced yet another class approved main switchboard on time and within budget. It will be installed on the 53m Feadship charter yacht Mirage, as part of her refit. Built at the company’s premises in Palma, the latest switchboard incorporates the Deif power management system and Palladium’s SiMON control, alarm & monitoring interface.

The switchboard comprises of three modular bays for ease of installation and care has been taken to ensure that replacement components are available internationally. The group starter section can be controlled by the SiMON system or manually overridden in the event of failure. Indeed, all of the systems can be operated with or without automation.
Installation
This class approved switchboard is to be installed on the 53m Feadship motor yacht Mirage as part of a complete refit. All of the electrical and electronic systems throughout the vessel are being installed by the team at ETY. SiMON Monitoring, Alarm and control
ETY are the European alliance partners of Palladium Technology Inc. SiMON are at the core of Palladium’s integrated yacht solutions. SiMON constantly monitors literally thousands of data points from all of the ship’s systems and sensors, generating a wealth of data on status and performance. SiMON controllers harvest the data and send it through an Ethernet data network to workstations where the information is assembled, integrated and presented using advanced graphics user interface technology. SiMON serves as a virtual engineer on duty around the clock, constantly vigilant of all critical functions, allowing the captain to focus on the demands associated with navigating and managing a modern vessel.
