Korea International Boat Show opened on June 10, 2010

The largest-scale marine conference in Korea will be held on June 10 at Jeongok port, Hwaseong city, Gyeonggi Province. A total of 200 participants including 100 foreign experts on marine leisure industry and people involved in the marine leisure industry will talk about the current status of the Korea’s marine leisure industry and directions for development under the theme of ‘Exploring Strategies for Asia’s Marine Industry Development’. The moderator of this conference is Tim Coventry from Britain, who is director of the International Sailing Federation and advisor to the Korea International Boat Show.

The 3rd Korean International Boat Show opened on June 10 at Jeongok Port Marina in the Province of Gyeonggi, South Korea.

The largest-scale marine conference in Korea will be held on June 10 at Jeongok port, Hwaseong city, Gyeonggi Province. A total of 200 participants including 100 foreign experts on marine leisure industry and people involved in the marine leisure industry will talk about the current status of the Korea’s marine leisure industry and directions for development under the theme of ‘Exploring Strategies for Asia’s Marine Industry Development’. The moderator of this conference is Tim Coventry from Britain, who is director of the International Sailing Federation and advisor to the Korea International Boat Show.

The 3rd Korea International Boat Show opened on June 10 at Jeongok Port Marina South Korea.

A number of renowned experts from home and abroad including Chairman Barry Jenkins of the Australia International Boat Show, Secretary General Pollicardo Lorenzo of UCINA, Chairman of the Marine Leisure Boat Research Institute of the Society of Naval Architects of Korea and professor at the Seoul National University Shin, Jong Kye will participate in the conference.

With the opening of the keynote speech by Chairman Barry Jenkins, a number of presentations will be given including ‘the new future for the marine boat industry’ by Mike Dret, ‘Super yacht market in the world’ by Pollicardo Lorenzo, ‘Trend and prospects on the marine leisure industry in Korea’ by the professor Shin Jong Kye of Seoul National University and ‘the strategy for developing Japanese marine industry’.

In addition, Gyeonggi province prepared ‘exhibitors presentation’ where boat show exhibitors and general public interested in the exhibitors can participate and ‘public conference’ to be held by public agenda and programs in which speakers have interest on June 11 to 12.

Park Soo Young, director of the economy investment bureau in Gyeonggi province said, “We prepared the various conferences by the theme and timing so that world class marine experts as well as exhibitors and the general public can participate in the Korea International Boat Show 2010.” He added that “we will make more effort to provide more interactive and popular programs to which the world can pay attention.”
