IYC’s President, Bob Saxon, received the International Superyacht Society’s prominent Lifetime Achievement Award during the ISS’s Annual Awards Gala for Design and Leadership on 27 October 2011, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The ISS Lifetime Achievement Award is presented by the Will of the Board of Directors to recognize the body of work and accomplishment by superyacht industry leaders who, by their actions, set standards of ethics, professionalism and business models the rest of the industry adopts for the betterment of the marketplace and its businesses. The award equally acknowledges the tireless efforts on behalf of ISS and its global mission.
“Bob Saxon has served the global yachting industry long and well,” says colleague and fellow ISS Board Member, Michael Moore of Moore & Company. “And, in every area of service whether yacht management, as head of the FYBA or his current position as CEO of a large brokerage, management and charter business, he has improved the industry with vision and leadership,” Moore continues.
The inaugural President of ISS from 1990-1993, Bob Saxon redoubled his commitment and efforts on behalf of the industry by stepping back into the ISS presidency for the past two years. His goal has been to lead the Society into its 20th year and beyond and to provide vision for its growing international presence. Bob also serves as the Co-Chair—and often, emcee—of the Awards Gala as he has done for many years.
The ISS Lifetime Achievement Award is presented from time to time by discretion of the ISS Board of Directors.
