Heesen Superyacht Project Pollux Construction Update

New superyacht project is taking shape at Heesen. This time it's the 55m superyacht Project Pollux, which is scheduled for delivery in Fall 2020.

The construction of superyacht PROJECT POLLUX (YN 19225) is on schedule with expected delivery in Autumn 2020, as announced by Heesen Yachts. The yacht has had her hull and superstructure joined at the shipyard in Oss, the Netherlands, where she will spend the next sixteen months. Designed by Frank Laupman of Omega Architects, the yacht measure 55m and boasts a masculine exterior. She belongs to the 55m Steel FDHF series, which is characterised by full-height windows, open bulwarks and straight lines.

On the foredeck, tenders and toys are stored in a dedicated space by leaving plenty of rooms for the guests to use. Aft, the guests will sunbathe and relax in the beach club and wellness centre. The sundeck is an ample area of a total of 100 sqm, with sun loungers, bar and alfresco dining area with panoramic views.

Bannenberg & Rowell are responsible for the interiors. Sophisticated styling onboard is represented by smoked oak floors and opulent marbles are combined with bronze accents and natural tones. Fantastic views and connection to the sea are provided by the floor-to-ceiling windows.

The accommodation layout is offered for up to 12 guests across five staterooms. The owner’s cabin is a size of an 82 sqm apartment, with his and her bathrooms, large bathtub and a separate shower. The VIP cabin is on the bridge deck, while two twin and two double cabins are located on the lower deck.

Superyacht PROJECT POLLUX will be fitted with two MTU 8V 4000 M63 (IMO Tier III) diesel engines, which will generate a top speed of 15 knots and a cruising speed of 13 knots.
