Shark Boom™ is a new stylish boom design for luxury cruising yachts, developed by the technical innovator in mast building, Formula Marine. Designed and constructed at the company’s carbon fibre centre in Montpellier, South of France, Shark Boom™ has been developed for yachts measuring up to 100 feet in length.

The stylish and iconic Shark range provides all the benefits of super lightweight and powerful construction of other Formula carbon spars. It can be supplied as a ‘Park Avenue’ version for slab reefed sails or with Formula’s proven F2 in-boom furling technology with fingertip joy stick control and intelligent electronics to minimise stresses on the sail.
Shark Boom fitted on the newly launched Oyster 885 yacht Lush
The addition of design engineering to the boom produces an eye catching and unique complement to a beautiful yacht and has already attracted luxury builder Oyster Marine to fit the first Shark Boom™ to their Oyster 885 sailing yacht Lush which was recently launched. The elegant curves of the boom have specifically designed to follow the elegant lines of this superb ocean going cruising yacht.
Shark Boom by Formula Marine
The Shark Boom™ range includes the SharkBoom 60™, SharkBoom 75™ and SharkBoom 90™ each model customised for the relevant ‘E’ measurement of the individual yacht, allowing the Shark Boom™ to be fitted to yachts from 55 feet to 100 feet.
