This is not NILAYA’s first victory in the regatta: Baltic Yachts’ 34m/112ft sailing yacht has earned the trophy twice before in the past four years, beating INOUI last year and proving her.speed and agility against the newer yacht.

In Class B, P2 took the lead after tight competition with GANESHA throughout the three day event.

“…we had a great race with Ganesha,” said P2 tactician Tony Rey. “It seems it always comes down between us. Matt Humphries and the guys on Ganesha are incredible competitors. We like to think we’re getting better and better at sailing P2. We all take pride in getting on the podium here. It’s a big deal.”

2012 Nautor’s Swan FREYA won all three of her Class C races, gaining her third class victory in the last 4 years.

“It was a fantastic week, we did well because we’re a crew,” FREYA’s owner Don MacPherson comented. “It was really good racing and we made very few mistakes. I attribute our success to the crew, they did a great job.”

PERSEUS^3 proved that persistence pays off, having lost the last two Loro Piana regattas in the Caribbean but consistently crossing the line first for Class D in the 30th edition of the event.
