Salt & Water design studio has created a new interior concept for a 56m/183.7ft luxury cruiser by Vahali Shipyard for European tourists to explore the Mekong River in style.
Fantastic upper deck
Spanning four decks, the decor pays homage to the region’s architectural heritage in the choice of textures, materials and geometry. The large windows are designed to frame nature, and the indoor planters give guests an up-close connection to nature while cruising to the next idyllic location.

The interior layout features a two-tier reception hall with a reception desk, symmetrical staircases and plenty of vegetation flowing down from the top floor. In the guest cabins, dark wood and rattan are used and the predominantly beige and white colour scheme is joined by accents in red and blue. Practicality is also infused into the design, and there is plenty of storage for luggage as well as charging ports for electronic devices. A massage room and gym are located in the stern for easy guest access from the cabins.

Outside, the upper deck features a swimming pool, bar, lounge, meeting area and sunbathing space. The bow has a cafe and restaurant, with seating arrangements for group gatherings or for guests to sit on their own and take in the tranquillity of the surroundings. A private sectioned off area allows for a group to savour an exclusive menu prepared by the professional onboard chef.
