Naval architect studio DLBA has released its latest explorer yacht concept 7OCEANS, a 45m/147.6ft hybrid vessel capable of fast short-distance journeys as well as economical long-distance cruising.

Among her amenities is a flybridge Jacuzzi, sunbathing areas and plenty of choice for alfresco dining and lounging across the decks. A beach club is placed in the lower deck stern and combines with the swim platform to create a serene place to rest beside the sea.
Within, sustainable materials have been used throughout and the interior styling features bamboo for the wooden panelling and natural leathers replace man-made fabrics. LED lighting is used inside and out to reduce energy usage. The accommodation provides for up to 8 guests over 5 en-suite cabins: 1 main deck Master suite, and on the lower deck 2 VIP staterooms and 2 single cabins ideal for children or staff.

The crew accommodation provides for 9, placing 4 cabins on the lower deck along with a mess, galley and laundry facilities, and a Captain’s cabin on the bridge deck.
E/Y 7OCEANS features a patented hull form by DLBA that is designed for efficiency: Using diesel-electric propulsion she is capable of a maximum speed of 25 knots and at a cruising speed of 16 knots has reduced fuel usage, emissions, noise and vibrations. Owners can take 7OCEANS into environmentally sensitive areas as her design and engineering also meet IMO Tier 4 emission regulations.

Heat waste produced by the generators is reused to heat the water and Veem gyro-stabilisers and a Humphree Active Ride Control Interceptor work together to reduce roll while cruising in rough seas.
