The first OYSTER 118 sailing yacht was recently captured on camera being transported from the Oyster Yachts shipyard in Southampton as construction continues in preparation for a 2019 launch.

The OYSTER 118 concept was originally announced in 2015 and the hull was completed in 2016 before financial issues placed the project on hold. After the company found a new owner in construction resumed, however the shipyard now intends to return to its focus producing high-quality sailing yachts ranging in size from 15m/50ft to 27m/90ft.

Oyster Yachts has found a partner in fellow British shipyard Pendennis to complete the construction of the first OYSTER 118, and a second OYSTER 118 that was announced in January 2017 is also currently under construction.
