Following the joining of the hull and superstructure of 50/164ft superyacht PROJECT ASTER, the latest 5000 aluminium vessel was moved to Hall 1 at the Oss facilities where work has continued on her exterior appearance and interior fittings.
Project Aster Heesen Yachts
The exterior design is the work of Omega Architects‘ Frank Laupman with Cristiano Gatto working on the interior decor in collaboration with the Heesen in-house team. Similar to sistership luxury yacht SEPTIMUS (ex.SARTORI), her silvery ceilings and stainless steel inserts provide an elegant finish to the brushed spruce cabinetry while amplifying the natural illumination.
Once completed, she will accommodate up to 12 guests over a main deck Master suite and five additional en-suite cabins located on the lower deck, and a crew of nine will be on hand to take care of every detail. Three lounges and dining rooms are placed across the decks and there is an alfresco bar and Jacuzzi on the sundeck, ensuring that she will appeal to the charter market as well as to her owners.
A pair of MTU 16V 4000 diesel engines will ensure that PROJECT ASTER achieves a top speed of 23 knots and a superb range of 3,100 nautical miles at 12 knots.
PROJECT ASTER is available for sale with an expected delivery date of June 2019. Other projects currently under construction at the shipyard include 50m/164ft superyacht PROJECT TRITON (a.k.a. YN 18850) from the 50 metre Steel Class series, due for delivery on the 28th of February 2020.
Heesen also recently won Best Interior Design for 51m/167ft luxury yacht IRISHA at the World Yachts Trophies 2018 for the interior and exterior styling talents of Eidsgaard Design.
